After accepting your sincere thanks for not writing all these days, yours truly is back! Let the panic button be pressed!
Last weekend, our company tried to replicate some thing very similar to Amazing Race on CBS. An ardent viewer of tamil channels and tamil programmes that I am, be sure that I had no hint whatsoever on what this "Amazing Race" was. And the mailer from my manager did not help either. Below is the essence from his email..
"We assemble at Rebecca restaurant for breakfast at 8:00 am and after the event we meet at Tantric (Indian cuisine) for lunch."
Everything that went in between seemed so insignificant.
Alas, that turned out out to be the killer. With a fruit salad for break fast, we went around the whole (WHOLE) of Boston before we could end up at the destination for lunch. It was like tying a biscuit to a cane that sticks out from the dog. No matter how long the dog does the running, never will it reach the biscuit. It seemed so endless.... the most tiring 4 hours I have ever spent my whole life!
Top top it all... the challenges involved drafting and singing an English song. We did one and heard that there were at least 10 suicides and 15 homicides in that area on that saturday. We managed to write one in English but when we tried to sing it, Governer issued a curfew and declared emergency. Such was the quality...of the song and the singers if we could call us one!
But it was fun... running around places.. using the game to take photographs with beautiful young women :P And as it turned out, we managed unhurt and were not arrested!
