Go paperless??

These days, every service provider every bank offers us the option of going paperless. No paper at all. All the transactions will be emailed to you.

If you have signed up for paperless billing/statements, be sure to save those emails. No...nothing against the banks. You might have to put them to use in many important occassions in your life. Recently, my friend's family was looking for an alliance. Here's what the girl's parents wanted to know (not one bit exaggerated)

1. Annual Salary + Variable component
2. Office address in the U.S
3. Work phone number
4. Brother(who is in the U.S) of the girl will call and talk to him on the work phone.

Many more... only these are on top of my mind!

Going by the scheme of things, this would form a great base as a new business model. Do all these activities and have pre-cleared grooms :P

If the current trend persists, probably people getting married in another 3 years or so will have to do the following

1. Submit address proof for stay in your current U.S address. (If your stay is less than 3 months in the current address, then include an address proof for the previous address along with the reason why you moved)
2. Recent 6 Months bank statement. (Salary account(
3. Photo identification proof.
4. Letter from your employer attesting the fact that you are employed with that company
5. Three people's reference in your locality along with their numbers.

If you submit the above documents, your application would be processed within 2 months from the date of submission and your eligibility to compete will be determined.

If eligible, your photograph will be taken up for discussion with the girl!!!!

Married guys - Lucky you! Yeah for a change... Lucky you!
Unmarried young guns with GF - You are rulers!
Third front - Write up a similar post - All the best!

There was a rumour (or might be a real fact) that during the 2000 bubble, many parents were not ready to get their daughters married to the sw engineers.

When there are speculations about the next recession, idhu veraya??? [:(]

hey!
back then! marriage cld happen when frndz/relative referred the groom. and uncles of the bride wld go to the groom's village n enquire abt the groom. this happens from the groom's side also.

now its all online. com !! WHAT CRAP.

hence, all this verification has become necessary after the SO MANY FRADULANT CASE coming up.

i think its ok!

@Raz

That much I understand. But if some one, on the pretext of to-be bride's brother, calls me up and asks me my salary and stuff... I will be pissed off.

My reply would be "Unga ponna kaappaatha mudiyaadha alavukku sambaadhikkaraen" like annan goundamani's classic "ingha vela seiya theriyaadha alavukku padichi irukkaen"

Funny...only last night i was laughing to myself thinking that i should include the option of three references in my matrimonial profile (from my proffessors)! In my expereince guys are the ones who seems to be confused....they ask and then seems that they do not believe what they see in my profile!

BTW, it's a pity that i do not have such parents who can ask for such a list as u have provided in ur post becoz i sometimes feel that the guys deserve to be tortured (at least a little bit....heee...heee)!

N.V.Prashanth said...

@ Ela - Yeah I know. Its both ways. But for guys, real torture does come after marriage :)

These days guys are being tortured too much. Thanks to your girls' parents

Thanks for visiting my blog!
