Rules rulz!

I have been diagnosed with movie watching syndrome. The fact that I know hindi, tamil and telugu has only added fuel to the fire. What ever might be the language there seems to be certain rulez followed, with an obedience of married women of ancient Indian civilization, by the movie makers.

1. Heroines are the dumbest women on the earth. They can fall for even silliest of trick. They have limited costume and brains!
2. A horror movie always has a semi-lunatic/lunatic person in the vicinity of the place of horror.
3. Villains always kidnap people to places with lots of drums and barrels.
4. Another one on horror movie... the maid of the house luks like a heroine with out make-up (ghost) and has borrowed voice from one of the character in star-wars!
5. I am yet to see a horror movie with out black colored cat. I advice police to replace all the dogs with Cats (black colored) as they can sense a murder even before it happens.
6. Heroes are like cartoon characters. There is no limit to what they can do. (Just like Bunny walks up in the air - thro a virtual ladder)
7. Action heroes are always bearded
8. Action heroes do not woo the heroine. How ever bad they are, heroines will be behind them.
9. Heroes' close friend will always die
10. Villains always choose the most time consuming methods to kill the hero there by giving him an opportunity to escape (like hanging'em up with a ice block beneath... so the moment ice melts.. hero will die)
11. Poor always loves the rich
12. Poor heroes' mothers are either widows or die.

These are few... there are lot more. Once you watch lotsa movies...you tend to grasp the trend!

God save movie watchers!

They are not showing many rape scenes now. I just dont like a villain, who fails to attempt a heroine-rape.

And there will also be one song where the hero will sing about the peruma of amma, thangachi, kadai, nermai, erumai, et al..

point 9 - heros friend dying - i liked it in Dil (tamil) - evven though the setting was cliched. and the one in kurudhipunal. Not that bad as the other cliches, what do you say ?

N.V.Prashanth said...

Ramki - Any bit of importance to the heroes' frenz or dialogues like "Naan engayo poiduvaen" is a dead give away

Ramakrishnan said...

sorry machhi. but i am not able to place "Naan engayo poiduvaen" ? where does this one come?

I do not remember the name of the movie... but for ex in "Azhagiya Theeyae" the guy will say... sollittu ingha irukka maattaen poittae iruppaen! Those kind of stuff
